NIH Immersive Summer Program for Research in Genomics

The Immersive Summer Program for Research in Genomics (iSPRinG) aims to build and sustain a skilled and diverse team of genome scientists in basic, behavioral, clinical and social science research.
15 Jan 2024

iSPRinG will introduce highly motivated students to the field of genomics research. Program participants will gain experience in the full spectrum of genomics research at NHGRI. Students will work alongside leaders in the field, receive individualized research mentoring, learn about careers in genomics and have access to a network of early-career genome scientists. Students will also attend seminars led by distinguished scientists, engage in career development activities and present their summer research projects at the NIH Summer Poster Day.

To apply, applicants must:

Submit an online NIH SIP application by January 20, 2024. Note that the deadline for iSPRinG is earlier than the NIH SIP deadline.

After the NIH SIP application is submitted, email the NHGRI Intramural Training Office at [email protected] with the subject line “Application to iSPRinG 2024: Your Name” and briefly describe why you are interested in this program and what makes you a suitable candidate.
