This summer and academic year internship is seeking undergraduate students from underrepresented in medicine (URiM) backgrounds in Brooklyn who are interested in pursuing careers in clinical research focused on addressing health disparities.

Students must be enrolled full or part time at a community or 4-year college during the year in which they participate in STEPPS. This year-long internship program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience in clinical research with faculty at NYU Langone Heath in a wide variety of fields.

This program begins in August with a 3-week summer intensive consisting of full-time in-person lectures and hands-on training in clinical research. Students are then placed into an internship in an active clinical research group at NYU during the academic year. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a scholarly project and be an integral part of the research team. Additionally, students will have ongoing didactics and mentorship.

Program Dates:
Summer Intensive: 8/5/24-8/23/24
Year Long Internship: 10/7/24-8/8/25
