Responsibilities
- Duties include mulching the garden beds, as well as large tracts of our woodlands; digging and planting shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals; and, of course, weeding beds and watering our many containers in the nursery areas and in areas on public display. The internship is not for those seeking an intellectual exercise alone, nor for those seeking an administrative position in the field. This is a rigorous, hands-on experience with physically demanding work in all kinds of weather.
Requirements
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a clean, valid driver’s license.
Salary
- The John Nally Internship encompasses a full garden season from April 6, 2026, to November 20, 2026. The work schedule is 8:30 to 4:30 five days per week with some weekend obligations. Pay is $20 per hour.
