The Climate Studio Initiative 2025 is a collaboration between Pratt, Beam Center, and Telos Learning supported by the National Science Foundation. This initiative is a collaboration combining the historic work of Beam Center and Guerilla Science. It is composed of the Climate Studio Youth Fellowship and the Climate Studio Residency.
The Climate Studio Youth Fellowship will employ up to 15 youth, ages 16-21, who will split into design teams working with the Climate Studio Residency participants to collaborate on public art climate justice projects.
What do you get out of it?
- Professional development, the opportunity to work closely with professional scientists, artists, educators, and community organizers working on addressing the climate crisis
- $3,000+ for approximately 200 hours total in summer 2025
- Development in climate literacy
- Field trips and exchange with community climate organizations across the city
Timeline
After submitting your application due April 17th at 9PM you will hear back with an invitation for an interview by April 18th. You will receive final acceptance into the program by April 21st.
