SCOPE Community Director

The Community Director is the hub for SCOPE members, ensuring the community stays engaged and grows:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a community engagement plan, mapping out regular events – Slack, virtual, and in-person – and opportunities to recruit at external events
  • Lead SCOPE’s presence on Slack – starting discussions, sharing opportunities, and moderating sharing
  • Ensure Slack conversations abide by the Code of Conduct
  • Identify opportunities to recruit members
  • Work with other SCOPE teams to promote the SCOPE network
  • Skills & Experience You Will Gain: community building, community engagement, community management, strategic communications, recruiting
  • Expected Commitment: Planning/implementing ONE monthly event for members (approx. 4 hours/month); attending monthly SCOPE leadership Zoom (1 hour/month)
  • The term of this position will initially extend through mid-May 2026, with the option to remain for a one-year term (May 2026 to May 2027).
