Tech Scholars
Open to NYC area high school students in grades 9-12 who live in and attend school in the New York City metro area (includes the five boroughs of New York City, as well as areas of New York State, Connecticut, and New Jersey). We are committed to making the program accessible to all students. All Tech Scholars programs are offered for free.
Podcasting

Collaborate with other teens to create a season of The New York Historical Society's teen podcast: Through Fresh Eyes. Hone your skills in script writing, recording, and editing as you research art and history to make your own podcast episode! This season, our podcasts will be inspired by the exhibit The House Made of Dawn: Art By Native Americans 1800-Now, opening in April at The New York Historical.
Web Design

Explore how women across the spectrum of race, class, and sexuality exercised power and effected change. Be a digital changemaker and learn how to use HTML and CSS to design, code, and build your own websites to share powerful stories about women in history.
(Retro) Tech Scholars: Exhibition Design
Monday-Friday August 3rd-7th
10 am- 4 pm
Collaborate with other teens to curate, design, and mount an exhibit to be shared at the end of the week with family and friends–all without the internet! Research and discuss historical themes, make art, and learn from professional curators, designers, and conservators. No AI, no computers, but there will be a typewriter. Dive into history with new school ideas and old school methods.
