The City Tech College Now STEM Research Academy is a two-part program for NYC high school students from partner schools under-served by science programs.
Program Structure:
SPRING 2026:
• Free pre-college research course
• Develop college-level research skills
• Engage in authentic science inquiry and research activities
SUMMER 2026:
• Five-week structured paid internship
• Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 4:00pm
• Work in research lab 4-5 days/week and/or Saturdays
• Matched with CUNY or CCNY faculty member based on your area of interest
• Complete research project and presentation
• Present at CCNY campus and at NYSCRM poster presentation at American Museum of Natural History
Stipend & Benefits:
• $1,575 stipend upon successful completion
• FREE tuition, books, and supplies
• City Tech College ID card
• Free lunch on Mondays
• OMNY cards for transportation
