Summer Council members will receive an honorarium of $1500 for a time commitment of no more than 75 hours from June-August 2026 (average 5 hr/week).
Responsibilities
- Identify and post opportunities on our Alumni Connects website and create monthly newsletters for alumni community
- Support Consortium-wide events, including set-up and day-of execution for our annual College Day Workshop (July 10) and Student Research Symposium (August 13)
- Attend site visits to Consortium partner organizations with Consortium Manager
- Alumni Council members are expected to work asynchronously and in-person at the American Museum of Natural History. Work schedule will vary by week with more hours around large events (see required in-person dates below). Overall, interns can expect to work no more than 75 hours total between June - August 2026 (average 5hr/week)
Required in-person dates:
- Week of June 22-26: Summer Council Orientation (exact date and time TBD, but will be in-person)
- Thursday, July 9: College Day prep work from 10am-4pm
- Friday, July 10: College Day from 9am-4pm
- Wednesday, August 12: Student Research Symposium prep work from 10am-4pm
- Thursday, August 13: Student Research Symposium from 2-8pm
Eligibility:
- Alumni of a Consortium program
- Current college student who has completed at least one semester of coursework
- Living in NYC over the summer
