The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute is a rapidly growing and highly successful nonprofit whose mission is to accelerate cures through stem cell research.

NYSCF is seeking to immediately fill a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Diabetes team. The project will focus on differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) into pancreatic beta cell organoids for disease modeling and drug discovery with a major focus on Type 2 diabetes. In addition to the Diabetes team, you will work closely with a broader interdisciplinary team, including members of the Global Stem Cell ArrayTM, project management, biologists, automation engineers, software specialists, and operations.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with the Center for Precision Health Research, NHGRI. You will contribute to the experimental work and write publications resulting from this collaboration.

You are a highly self-motivated applicant with a strong interest in stem cell research. You will have a solid background in human pluripotent stem cell culture, including directed differentiation, and specific experience with differentiation towards the pancreatic lineage. In addition to these interests, the potential to leverage high-throughput liquid handling is at the heart of this role, alongside the opportunity to enable high-throughput large-scale genotype-phenotype association studies that utilize the iPSC disease model.
