Position Summary

The clinical research coordinator will be involved in ongoing research projects focused on various types of cardiomyopathy.

Responsibilities

Performing eligible patient screening, recruitment, obtaining consent, collecting blood and myocardium samples, sample processing, and storage.

Performing chart review and calling the participants to collect clinical data and event follow‐up, mainly via telephone or email.

Sampling shipping and receiving from/to collaborating institutions and vendors.

Developing, maintaining, and updating material transfer agreements and data use agreements under the supervision of the PI.

Maintaining and modifying the IRB‐approved protocol under the supervision of the PI.

Supporting publication process (e.g., changing manuscript format for specific journal, uploading to journal website).

Ordering and receiving research‐related materials (e.g., equipment, reagents).

Processing research‐related expenses (e.g., travel, conferences, publication fee).

Downloading, de‐identifying, and storing cardiac imaging data.

Modifying and managing daily post-admission cardiomyopathy report alert items as needed.

Maintaining and modifying data collection instruments / fields within REDCap database for storage of clinical data and handling administrative tasks for REDCap (e.g. user access, roles, etc.).

Performing other responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus two years of related experience required.
